Skoda EGR Valve Removals

Skoda Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve EGR Delete Service

Skoda EGR Valve RemovalsSkoda EGR Valve Faults & Problems
Modern Skoda’s have an EGR valve fitted to the exhaust, which is in place to allow exhaust gasses to recirculate into the engine to be re-burnt before being released into the atmosphere. This is to reduce harmful vehicle emissions, however, this process can lead up to carbon build-up in the inlet manifold which in time can cause problems to the vehicle such as loss of power, drop in fuel economy as well as your vehicle going into “Limp Mode”.

Skoda EGR Valve Common Problems
Some of the most common problems found with a blocked or failed EGR valve includes:

  • Smoke on Acceleration
  • EGR Flap Position Sensor Faults
  • Loss of Power
  • Missfire
  • Fluttering on Acceleration

A lot of garages offer the option of getting the EGR blanked off, and when initially done, it gives excellent gains in power as well as better throttle response. Eventually, further problems start to occur likes loss in power again as well as loss in mpg, poor throttle response and sluggish in low rpm.

Although blanking the EGR ensures that no gasses recirculate back into the inlet manifold and the engine, the ECU continues to calculate how much diesel is required at each cycle with the EGR flow INCLUDED in its calculations. In order to experience the full benefits of having an EGR removed, the EGR needs to be deleted from the ECU which will then instruct the EGR valve to remain shut at all times. The ECU will then calculate the correct amount of diesel to be released with each injection cycle and this will then allow the vehicle to run at it maximum potential and you will experience the true benefits of having it removed.

Skoda Blocked EGR ValveSkoda EGR Delete Service by Sinspeed
Our EGR delete service is completely bespoke and safe, and we do not need to remove the ECU from the vehicle. We are able to log into the vehicles on-board engine management system and program the EGR to stay off at all times. And by doing this, it will ensure that gasses no longer recirculate into the engine to be re-burnt, therefore, carbon build up will no longer be an issue and neither will your vehicle experience any further EGR related problems!

We have compiled a list below of all the Seat models that we offer an EGR Deactivation Service for. Let us know if your vehicle is not listed below on 0203 815 9441, and we will be more than happy to confirm for you.

Seat EGR Valve Removals

Seat Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve EGR Removal / Delete Service

Seat EGR Valve RemovalsSeat EGR Valve Faults & Problems
Modern Seat’s are fitted with EGR valves which are integrated into the exhaust valve to allow gasses to recirculate back into the engine to be re-burnt before being released into the atmosphere to help reduce vehicle emissions. This process, however, leads to the eventual build-up of carbon in the inlet manifold and engine, as well as the engine valves causing the loss of power and a drop in fuel economy of the vehicle.

This used to be an easily resolvable issue on older Seat’s, however with new sophisticated systems being installed on newer models, it has become more challenging to rectify any EGR problems. This is due to the fact that warning lights and fault codes now appear when trying to blank off or bypass the EGR, sometimes even causing the vehicle to go into “Limp Mode”.

Seat EGR Valve Common Faults
Some of the most common problems with the EGR valve can become extremely expensive to repair if not looked after, especially if you are looking to replace it completely. If this is the case, it is always advised that you have the EGR Valve thoroughly cleaned with every other service to maintain it. Another option available for a faulty EGR valve is to have it deleted from the ECU completely so it is programmed to stay shut at all times. This will eliminate any issues regarding warning lights or fault codes coming up and will also stop it from going into limp mode and losing power.

Some of the most common faults to look out for include:

  • Missfire
  • Loss of Power
  • EGR Flap Position Sensor Faults
  • Smoke on Acceleration
  • Fluttering On Acceleration

This is not a complete list, only a selection of the most common problems that customers advise of when calling to enquire about our EGR options.

Vauxhall Opel EGR Valve Removal

Vauxhall / Opel Exhaust Gas recirculation Valve EGR Delete Service

Vauxhall Opel EGR Valve RemovalVauxhall / Opel EGR Valve Faults & Problems
Many modern Vauxhall / Opel vehicles have an EGR valve fitted to them which is a device designed to lower harmful emissions being released into the atmosphere. This is done by recirculating gasses back into the engine to be re-burnt, but during this process, carbon build-up in the inlet manifold and engine is a side effect that causes many problems, including the loss of power as well as a noticeable drop in the overall economy of the vehicle.

A blocked EGR Valve used to be a lot easier to repair on older models, however, with newer systems in place it has become more difficult to carry out an EGR delete. This is due to the systems being able to identify when an EGR has been bypassed / blanked off, which cause fault codes and warning lights to appear, and in some cases, causing the vehicle to go into “Limp Mode” which causes a decrease in power.

Vauxhall / Opel EGR Valve Common Issues
Some of the most common problems you will come across when the EGR is blocked on your vehicle are:

  • Smoke on Acceleration
  • Loss of Power
  • Missfire
  • Fluttering On Acceleration
  • EGR Flap Position Sensor Faults

If any of the above faults sound familiar, you will be generally be advised to get your EGR replaced. This is an option that can work out to be quite costly, especially as it is also recommended that you get the EGR cleaned thoroughly with every other service to maintain it and prevent any further carbon build up. The other option would be to have the EGR Delete service which involves programming the ECU to tell the EGR Valve to remain shut at all times. This then ensures that no warning lights or fault codes appear at all, and thus stopping the vehicle from going into limp mode.

Vauxhall Opel Blocked EGR ValveVauxhall / Opel EGR Delete Service By Sinspeed
Here at Sinspeed, we offer a completely safe and bespoke EGR Delete Service which involves us deactivating the EGR valve system from the ECU to remain shut at all times. We log on to the vehicles on-board engine management system and then from there we program the EGR valve to remain off so that gasses no longer re-circulate into the engine and stopping any further blockages.

Below we have compiled a short list of the Vauxhall / Opel models that we offer an EGR Deactivation service for. If you cannot find your vehicle on the list, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0203 815 9441 where we will be able to check for you.

DPF Blocked Regeneration Warning Light

Audi DPF Removal Service

DPF Blocked Regeneration Warning LightHave you noticed that your DPF warning light is on? Or is your Audi suffering from loss of power? If so, this could be due to a blocked Diesel Particulate Filter which is no longer functioning efficiently!

A DPF is integrated into the exhaust of most modern diesel Audi’s from 2005 onwards, to trap and remove Diesel Particulate Matter or soot from the diesel exhaust gasses to ensure that the residue smoke is cleaner before being released into the atmosphere. The aim of this process is to remove up to 80% of diesel particulate emissions, however, as the DPF burns off this soot via regeneration, it leaves an ash residue in the DPF which cannot be burnt off, which eventually causes it to become blocked. This means the regeneration process of the filter cleaning itself can no longer be carried out.

Other reasons for premature blockage of the DPF filter can include the use of incorrect engine oil, lower quality fuels, faulty exhaust sensors, faulty components on the vehicle which may increase soot levels in the exhaust gasses and not having the required driving style to frequently regenerate the filter successfully.

When this occurs, it goes on to create further problems as mentioned above like power loss and the pressure begins to build up in the exhaust due to the trapped gasses, which will go on to try and escape from the next weakest point i.e. the turbocharger seals or the EGR valve, which is where the damage to other components start to occur if not dealt with.

DPF Filter System RemovalsSymptoms Of A Blocked DPF On My Audi
In order for a DPF to run efficiently, the regeneration process needs to be carried out in optimum conditions which occur normally when driving on the motorway at 40-50mph for approximately 15-20 miles. However, if you live in a city which requires a lot more stops and starts, this can cause the DPF to become blocked up a lot quicker.

Some of the signs of a blocked DPF filter are listed below with a list of the most common fault codes found on Audi’s:

  • DPF Warning Light On
  • Limp Mode / Loss Of Power
  • Engine Management Light On (EML / MIL)
  • Glow Plug Light Flashing
  • Poor Fuel Consumption

AudiP2453- Diesel Particle Filter Differential Pressure Sensor: Implausible Signal
AudiP2463- Diesel Particle Filter: Excessive Soot Accumulation

If you have any of the problems mentioned above with your Audi, it is more than likely that it is due to a DPF failure, and in some cases, you may even find that your vehicle becomes completely immobile due to excess blockage and build-up of exhaust backpressure. When these issues arise, if it is not dealt with in time, further problems may arise such as:

  • Injector faults
  • EGR Faults
  • Engine Faults
  • Turbocharger Faults
  • Oil Contamination

Some of the faults listed can cost in the region of £1000+ to repair if the DPF fault is not dealt with as soon as possible. Some customers have come to us in the past informing us that garages have advised its more cost-effective to just get rid of the vehicle as certain repairs cost more than the actual vehicle itself! Therefore, we always advise that DPF faults are dealt with as soon as possible to prevent any further damage to your vehicle.

My Audi Has A Blocked DPF – How Can Sinspeed Help?
There are several options available to you if you find that your Audi has a blocked DPF:

  • DPF Replacement Filters – You have the option to replace the DPF Filter, however, genuine filters are extremely expensive and only come with a 12-month warranty, which does not cover you if it gets blocked up again unless it is due to a defective filter unit. Cheap copy filters may be another option but these are known to block up very quickly and are not recommended.
  • Sinspeed Complete DPF Removal Session – Here at Sinspeed, we offer a complete bespoke 4 Stage DPF Removal Service where we physically remove the filter from the exhaust system and also deactivate the complete DPF system from the vehicle ECU. By doing this, the Regeneration process is also cancelled out, and we then go on to carry out a full smoke-correction service which is bespoke to Sinspeed, providing you with the most extensive and complete service nationwide. Finally, all Sinspeed DPF Removal Sessions come with a Lifetime Warranty for complete peace of mind.

Alfa Romeo 159 DPF Removal

Alfa Romeo DPF Removal Service

Alfa Romeo DPF Filter RemovalAlfa Romeo DPF Problems + Our Permanent DPF Solution
Many Alfa Romeo’s are equipped with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) which are integrated into the exhaust systems of newer vehicles to trap and remove Diesel Particulate Matter or Soot from diesel exhaust gasses. When the engine burns diesel, the residue is smoke and in the smoke, there are tiny particles of soot and ash which the filter traps. When it is blocked with soot and ash, regeneration is the procedure of cleaning itself. For a regeneration to work you have to drive along a motorway at 40-50mph for around 15-20 miles – how long it takes can depend on how blocked the filter is.

The aim of this process is to remove 80% of diesel particulate soot (emissions), however, over time, this becomes inefficient and problematic as the filter blocks up and cannot clean itself via regeneration. You will then experience power losses as the pressure builds up in the exhaust by the trapped gasses as they try to escape from the next weakest point i.e the turbocharger seals or EGR valve.

Symptoms Of A blocked DPF On My Alfa Romeo
If your Alfa Romeo comes with a DPF system in place, and you live in a city like London for example, it is more likely for your filter to get blocked up quicker, due to the constant stop & starts.

Below is a list of the most common initial symptoms of a Blocked DPF Filter with a table of the most common fault codes:

  • DPF Warning Light On
  • Limp Mode / Loss Of Power
  • Engine Management Light On (EML / MIL)
  • Glow Plug Light Flashing
  • Poor Fuel Consumption

Alfa RomeoP242F- Diesel Particular Filter Restriction
Alfa RomeoP2452- Particulate Matter Trap Differential Pressure Sensor Circuit
Alfa RomeoP2453- Diesel Particle Filter Differential Pressure Sensor: Implausible Signal
Alfa RomeoP2463- Diesel Particle Filter: Excessive Soot Accumulation

The issues mentioned above would suggest a DPF failure and in some cases, the vehicle can become completely immobile due to excess blockage and build up of exhaust back pressure. If not dealt with when the initial faults start coming up, it can go on to cause further problems such as:

  • Injector Faults
  • EGR Faults
  • Engine Faults
  • Turbocharger Faults
  • Oil Contamination

These faults can go on to cost in the region of £1000+ to repair, which sometimes make it more cost effective to get rid of the vehicle due to the overall cost of repairs, therefore, it is always recommended to deal with the problem as soon as it appears to prevent any further damage to your vehicle.

My Alfa Romeo Has a Blocked DPF – What Are My Options?
If you find that your Alfa Romeo has any of the above faults, you have 2 immediate options:

  • DPF Replacement Filters – Cheap copy filters are known to block up very quickly and genuine replacements are extremely expensive and only come with a 12-month warranty, which does not cover you if the filter blocks up unless you can prove the blockage is due to a defective filter unit.
  • Sinspeed Complete DPF Removal Session – We offer a completely bespoke 4 Stage DPF Removal Service which involves the physical removal of the filter from the exhaust system, whilst also deactivating the complete DPF system from the vehicle ECU. The Regeneration processes are also canceled out and we carry a full smoke-correction service which is bespoke to Sinspeed, to provide you with the most extensive and complete service nationwide. Not only this, all Sinspeed DPF Removal Sessions come with Lifetime warranty for your complete peace of mind!

What Are The Benefits Of A Sinspeed DPF Removal Session?
Once the DPF filter has been completely removed professionally by Sinspeed, an immediate increase in power and performance are just some of the improvements you will experience straight away, as well as sharper throttle response!

Below you will find a list of the key benefits that you can expect from a Sinspeed DPF Removal Session:

  • Increased Power & Performance
  • Increased Fuel Efficiency
  • Sharper Throttle Response
  • Increased Life Expectancy Of Turbocharger
  • Increased Life Expectancy Of Engine
  • Increased Life Expectancy Of Injectors
  • No More Limp Mode / Loss Of Power
  • No More Warning Lights On The Dashboard
  • No More Annoying Regenerations!!
  • Lifetime Warranty

With no filter in place, there is no longer any strain or pressure on the turbocharger and engine, allowing them to work more efficiently with improved power. Not only this but, as the regeneration cycle is completely cancelled out, injectors are no longer required to squirt diesel at longer durations or higher pressures (as required in the regeneration cycles), which increases the life of the injectors as well.

Below we have compiled a short list of vehicles we can carry out a DPF Removal on. This is not a complete list as new vehicles are being added to our systems on a daily basis if you’re vehicle is not listed or you’re unsure then please call us on 0203 815 9441.
