Hi Jason, I have been told my Golf Plus 1.4 TSI has the following fauly in the DSG greabox – “mechatronic faulty also may need clutch pack due to clutch tolerance limit “.
Been quoted a ridiulous amount for replacement.
I had RAC come out at time of breakdown who hooled up reader and got following error code – P0841 Transmission Fluid Plressure Sensor / Switch A Circut Range performance.
Can you advise if I need to go through with Mechontronic replacement?

The error goes away when the ignition is switch off and restarted again but as soon as you drive fro a couple minutes the spanner light flashes again.

Have you ever come across this particular issue on a DSG Gearbox (DQ500) (out of Europe)?

hi . i have a audi a3 2004 2.0l tdi sport dsg. recently whilst driving the gear chagned to fisrt gear itself and didnt change gear after that. the pRNDS started falshing. i could change gear with the auto stick but the revs went up but no mobement. the car only worked in fist gear and the gears did not change. the problem on the rAC computer system was

I have a Audi A3 Sport 2008.
The gearbox when cold selects drive with a slight lag. When hot with your foot on the foot brake at lights, take your foot off then there is a good 4-5 second delay before engaging drive. Also when hot on a slight incline it will jump out of gear. When hot the gear change is jerky.
Kick down and if you drive the car hard is normal.
Gearbox oil and filters are new. Are you able to diagnose if the vehicle is with you?

I have an Audi a4 1.8T with a faulty multitronic gearbox. I’ve just bought it and it drove well for 2 weeks. Problem started in third week in the morning 2 hen it jumped out of gear and switched off I put it in neutral and restarted, all was well. On third day it did the same. I drove for 8 km then it stopped shifting gears while in motion. There was nothing abnormal except that it wouldn’t shift gears even in manual. The mechanic plugged in a diagnostic tool and it showed a tiptronic switch fault. How can you assist me to get this transmission working again?

Hi just bought a beetle today for my sister. It drove fine on the test drive, but on the way home from the garage I gave it a bit of stick and it wouldn’t change up from 2nd to 3rd gear. At first I thought it was slipping. But it was fine when I drove it home nicely for the rest of the journey. Any ideas? It’s a 2001 2.0 litre auto VW Beetle hatchback with a 100k miles on it (just a cheap runabout really).

I have a Skoda Rapid automatic, 3yrs old and only 6000 miles on the clock. No problems on ordinary running but in heavy, stop-start, motorway traffic there is a loud noise from the transmission each time I pull forward. This stops when the car is running smoothly once again. The garage has had the car in but they cannot reproduce the noise so can do nothing. Your advice would be appreciated.

I recently had some issues with my dsg transmission on my 2006 audi a3. My dsg transmission has LSD installed however everything was working fine for over a year now up until today. When I reached a stop sign my car was flashing PRNDS and it would not drive, I had to shut it off and turn it back on and when i was driving it to my home it was lurching a bit. Also i hear a noise while i am driving and it sounds like a wub wub wub noise while im driving slow.

I am in Canada, however I would like some advise on what i should do if you guys can help.
