Finding Which One Your Car Has

You do not need the part number to order. Pick the year and power output that match your car and the price follows. If you are unsure of the power output, choose “Not sure”: the V5C logbook gives it in kilowatts at section P.2, and one kilowatt is about 1.34 bhp.

3 different turbochargers are catalogued for the SLC-Class 2.1 Diesel between 2012 and 2016: they look alike from the outside, but they are not interchangeable. If you have the turbocharger off the car already, the label on the housing carries its part number, and the Affected Part Numbers tab lists each one by year, power output and engine code. If the label is missing or unreadable, send it in anyway: we identify every unit on the bench before any work starts.

Sending Your SLC-Class Turbocharger In

1. Choose your year and power output above, add the rebuild to your basket and check out.
2. Complete the Repair Form. It gives you a repair reference and emails you a copy.
3. Write that reference on a note inside the box, and on the outside of the box under our address.
4. Plug or tape every port, pack the turbocharger so it cannot move, and post it to Unit 102 Reaver House, 12 East Street, Epsom, Surrey, KT17 1HX, United Kingdom.

On refitting, renew the oil feed and return lines rather than reusing them, and prime the oil feed before the engine first starts, so the new bearings are not run dry.
